Upper Jaw Surgery with Lower Jaw Surgery

1. Braces are put on first

2. When the teeth are aligned, you are ready for jaw surgery

3. Jaw surgery is done inside mouth without outside scars.

4. The surgery brings the teeth together by moving the upper jaw forward and the lower jaw backward

5. Titanium plates are used to hold the bone togther until it heals.

6. We never wire the jaws closed.

7. We use dental elastics to guide the new bite.

8. Braces are continued after surgery.
